I'm not going to yoga tonight, as I usually do every Monday. Why? I need to buy Christmas gifts for my family members.
No, I'm not headed to Fashion Valley. What I mean is that I'm forgoing my yoga practice this evening to save money.
I absolutely love the yoga studio I frequent here in SD. But yoga is SO EXPENSIVE! It's so frustrating because I've gotten extremely into my yoga practice these past few months. But I can't even go to class as often as I'd like because it's so pricey.
When I told my dad how much I was paying for yoga each week, he was floored. "That's a car payment!" he shouted at me, over the phone. I realized he was - disgustingly - right.
How do I justify forking over this much cash week after week? I know that yoga benefits me both physically and mentally. To be honest, it has almost become a necessity to me, like tampons. And better than I spend my hard-earned money at the studio than on vodka, right?
After yoga class, my mind is at peace. And it tones my body so I can fit into those skinny jeans come Thirsty Thursday! But it still sucks when I check my bank account online and see how it has dwindled.
Do you share my frustration?
